I havent been too crazy about the bob fender on my 08 Night Train since I got it, but was in love with the rest of the bike so I overlooked it. Anyways I was wondering if a stock fender from another soft tail (say a Fat Boy) would bolt on or if I'd need new fender struts? Also would my seat work (stocker and La Berra bare bones) with a fatty fender? Besides the brake light and licence plate mount is there anything else I should take into consideration?

 

im fairly sure a fatboy fender will go with your struts. i think you'll have to use a 06 or earlier fb fender, since 07 and up went wider. i've got a 2000 in the garage. i cane-mail pics and hole measurements if it will help.

 

His Train has the 200 tire just like the '07 and up FB. Go for it man!

 

find someone that has an '07 or '08 FatBoy and swap fenders and taillights.

LOL, sorry Chief....but I think you meant "too bad mine isnt flat black"!!! Do they even make the FatBoy in black denim? I dont remember seeing any. Guess I'll be paying for paint either way.

Thanks for the help yall. I've been tossing around going with either the Heartland kit or putting a Fatboy fender on. Now that I havent been told 'no it wont work and your a idiot for asking' I'll start pricing things to see what kind of differance there will be. I sure appreciate yall!

 

no I said what I meant.... if yours were Black Pearl, I'd be interested talking to you about a swap - I just kinda "overspent" my bike budget for the next couple of months and can't afford a paint job right now.
