What he said. It'll probably be cheaper to just have them powder coated.

I've had the same problem trying to find black sliders for '07. HD dosen't make them for the '07. I found some sliders already powdercoated on ebay, but nobody had any for the '07 either.
I'm trying some suggestions and am in the process of painting mine. Primer is drying now. I'll probably powdercoat next winter, but I think this is going to work for now.

I powdercoated mine last week and it isn't difficult to take them away. I'll try to tell you how to do with my super english !! Here's a drawing of the fork.

- You have to lift the bike with a motorcycle lift.
- Then, take off the front wheel and the front fender.
- Then, you empty the fork oil with the bolts (nr 22) that are located at the bottom of the fork sliders, facing the driver.
- Then you have to loose the small bolts (nr 10/11)that are located at the bottom of the fork sliders, perpendicular to the wheel axle. You cannot see those bolts before you take off the wheel. Those bolts maintain toghether the sliders and the tubes.
- When done, the sliders go down for about 4-5 inches, but not more.
- You have to take it in the hand and pull it firmly down 3-4 times ant it comes.

]

You see on the picture how it is. YOu have on the top, the joint, then a washer, then two rings that hold the fork slider with the friction of the joint.

I hope you have understood what I mean !

Hell just put the bike on a stand n pop the wheel n fender off, prep n paint them your self!! Rattle cans = low cost, spend the rest on some other bits.
