Default Buy 2008, 2009, or 2010?

I'm considering buying a 2008 Fat Boy withthe SE/110engine package, or a 2008 SERK, but when I talk to owners, some say,"Wait till July to see what Harley will do for2009". Dealers are hungry andoffering deals now, but waiting for July seems likethe best idea. What do you think?

Also, please give me your experiences with2008 problems.

Thanks!

Just buy the '08. I bought my '08 train in december. Haven't had any problems yet, except that if i don't put the battery tender on it and let it sit for a week the battery will be almost dead. nothing jumper cables can't fix. I guess it really depends on how bad you want to ride. I myself wouldn't be able to wait. Maybe you can, but not me.

Thanks, Deuce. Good way to put it, but before I spend this kind of bread, I need more info.

Thanks, 08fxstb. Heard about the battery problem. Minor problem, but what's drawing the juice out of it? Also, any problem with thecharging system?

personally, I think you should wait and see what the 125th anniversary models look like......

of course I'm kidding!!! just think of all the riding you're missing waiting around for 2009 or 2010.

No problems with the charging system. Once I get it jumped, 5-10 minutes later the battery is perfect. As far as the current draw, I'm not exactly sure what's causing it. Sometimes the juice will last for a long time, sometimes not. Once it went dead in a matter of I think 3 days. So dead the fuel pump didn't even come on. All I got was "click, click, click..."

Wait for 09 for the CVO RG !!
I'm kidding. I'd love to see that !! Prob won't happen.
