Default Gloves??

OK, I'm curious...How many of you wear gloves when you ride. Hands are usually the first thing that hits the pavement and a 60MPH skid on the hands can really do them it. If you wear gloves...what kind do you recommend?

I wear gloves cause the Army makes me. I wear a pair with just a little bit of insulation it to keep my hands warm. still a litttle chilly here sometimes.

River Road fingered and fingerless work for me, they have a gel insert in the palm that gives a good cushion for long rides..

I wear gloves every time I ride.
I need my hands to work

Dainese Hellracer. They are all black and don't look like sportbike gloves but have all the protection of racing gloves.

I've been looking at some gloves made by Rev'it that have hard carbon fiber in the knuckle area and are a cross between a touring glove and a race glove. I've also been looking at some gloves offered by Fox Creek Leather, they have some real quality stuff. It only seems to make sense to have some protection on thepart of you body that is likely to hit the pavement/gravel first. I don't see how fingerless gloves do anything other than make a fashion statement...

Rhubarb...I just did a goggle on those gloves. They look like they'd be great gloves...this is the type glove I'm asking about, something that will save your hide (literally) if the worst happens. That also seems to be about the right price for this type glove.

I wear them daily and have had them about 11/2 years now. Very comfortable and well made.
I bought them tight and stretched them from wear because I like my gloves snug and with no insulation...

I will buy another pair of Dainese when these wear out.

i wear a plain deerskin glove... light, uninsulated, no gel palms, with fingers.... i have had them many years now.

believe it or not, i keep them in good shape by lotioning my hands with aloe every so oftenbefore i put them on.

if you do buy a light deerskin glove, buy them one size smaller than the pair you think fits you best... they stretch to "fit you like a glove"

and dont be cheap... a good pair of gloves will last years.

Power Trip deerskin (black) in warm weather and Power Trip Dakota for colder weather.
