I doubt the tire itself is causing the problem unless it's flawed. Maybe not properly installed or balanced? I run Metzlers and like them better then the Dunnys. But again I doubt the tire is the prob.

I had a bad bearing that caused the shimmy and scalloped the tire. I replaced the front with Metzler and love it and the back with Dunlop because they get 2 times the mileage.

This can not be left up checked
WTF
Dunlap is one of if not the best tire made.
As for on an HD there is no better all around street tire out there.
If you have a low speed shimmy find the problem is surely is not because you have a Dunlap tire.
I have more miles on Dunlaps riding in heat cold rain even some snow than you can count.
They provide great wear and traction and are quialty made in the USA.

well when i called the steeler, they automatically told me it was something else.without seeing or riding it. thats why i'm trying to avoid them. now they had replaced the rim and tire. the tire had some stress cracks in the sidewall, the rim they told me the runout was too high. however i really cant say i felt anything when i rode on the bent rim and stressed tire.now i have this mess. 0-40 i can really feel this swimming in the handle bars. i already checked and adjusted the fallaway i'm at 2" which is spec in the svc book. on top of which the steeler told me they were backed up to mid june.(the rim was replaced as an assembly. new hub, bearing tire and tube)

i work on cars for a living. i can't really say that dunlops impressed me all that much, i have em on my truck and every 6 mo i have to rebalance them cause i get a shimmy in the steering wheel. pirelli its the same thing. so i'm kinda jaded by dunlop. now i will admit maybe its not the tire, but it just seems after the fact this got a bit extreme.

I had the same thing at 2100 miles. Replaced the front tire because of a defect and suddenly aquired a shimmy at around 35-40 mph. Never figured it out but it evently went away.

I use the Avon venom on the front and the Avon Storm ST on the back. Better mileage and much better grip over the Dunlops

No matter what you put on it should always match the rear tire. I've always been told to have matching tires.
