Saddle Bags for the Rocker C.
I've ordered the saddle bag set up (brackets and hardware and HD bags) and removable windshield for the Rocker. I will only use them for longer trips. But I was wondering if anybody else has the saddle bags on the Rocker. I have seen pictures of the bags on the bike, but not the mount and hardware that go with it.
How does the hardware look when the bags are not on the bike?
Is there any drilling or permanant features of the hardware?
If you have the saddle bags, can you take a picture of the bike without the bags on so I can see the mounting hardware?
Thanks

RE: Saddle Bags for the Rocker C.
Sorry I can't help with a picture of the saddlebag hardware mounted on a Rocker, but would like to hear from anyone who hasfound or ordered saddlebags other then H-D that work with the lift and slide saddlebag support structure for the Rocker? Anyone boughtor found saddlebags other than H-D for their Rocker?

RE: Saddle Bags for the Rocker C.
I had my hardware powered coated black - blends in better. Normally I only install the hardware for long trips - takes less than 20 minutes.

Yeah, I actually plan to take mine back off. I only installed it for the trip up to Michigan last week, but I just have been too busy to take it back off. Powder coating them black isn't a bad idea. Especially on an FXCW.

RE: Saddle Bags for the Rocker C.
THANKS, Rocketman69! I really appreciate the pics and the info. I was scared how it would look and it does not look bad at all. Don't worrie about the dirty bike.I know ittakes time to get them clean.
It sounds like you can put them on/off in about 20 min. So I guess there is nothing permanant, right?
Are the brackets chrome or polished?

Hey Rocketman69, I meant to ask: Do you know if the saddle bags rest on the muffler if you have standard pipes? From H-D's website, it looks like the bags rest on the pipes.

RE: Saddle Bags for the Rocker C.
There is nothing permanent. You have to remove the passenger foot pegs, and bolt them to the saddle bag brackets, remove the two bolts on each side of the seat frame, and bolt the brackets to the bike using those two holes and the one where the passenger foot peg was. That's it - 3 bolts on each side.
The brackets are chrome steel.
edit: The bag on the right is actually shaped to rest above the stock pipes, so there is no worry about them hitting the pipes. From the side, it looks the same as the left side bag, but from the rear, you can see where it is curved to fit around the pipes.
