ANYONE HAD ANY GOOD/BAD EXPERIENCES WITH ANY PARTICULAR BRAND OF SPEEDO GAUGE ASSEMBLY?
THE GLASS SEAL ON MINE IS SHOT.
BEEN THINKING OF GOING DIGITAL.
NEEDS TO BE 110% WATERPROOF BECAUSE I THINK I'M STUCK HERE IN WASHINGTON FOR AT LEAST 2 MORE YEARS.

I've got a dakota digital. The thing is awesome it has performance mode, diagnostic mode and tons of other features definatly worth every penny

 

How about the&nbsp\\;Nostalgic Face speedo sold by HD? I have the speedo-tach on my Fatboy and it looks and works great. &nbsp\\;

Did you loose any of the functions with this install....Was looking into that for my train........easy to do?

 

Real easy provided your bike is 04 and later. Just remove the dash, unplug the old speedo, push back the clips and push out the speedo through the top of the dash. Reverse order to install the new one. Didn't lose the security code and tach functions great. Of course you have to get the oddometer calibrated by the dealer or factory.

 

You lose the Clock function, otherwise it is a nice upgrade. Also when you do the changeout be sure and put the rubber seal around the unit where it goes through the dash. A little bit of a PIA but keeps out the water. Pay close attention when you remove it.

I like having the tach, but do miss the clock... the only way they could make it better, IMHO.
