Default Nothing runs like a Train! Finally got me one!!

So I bought a nightster back in feb of this year. Needless to say it was woman magnet, but couldn't ride anyone on this small bike. I'm 6'2 185 pounds. Well yesterday I got me a 08 night train. I love it, even though I'm still in the break in period.

On my nighster I had vance and hines slip on and it sound awesome.. very deep, but loud. Way I like it. I'm debating between going with the Vance and Hines SideShots, Big radius, Shortshot staggered, or lastly big shot staggered. Can anyone tell me how these would sound? Yea you can hear them on V&H website but theres too many variables to really know how they would sound.

Then finally...chrome or black? If anyone has any pictures please post them up.

***Also if I just add exhaust but keep the stock air cleaner will I need to re-map?

Big radius looks good on Train imo, chrome or black is personal preference, I think black looks cool but chrome is easier to clean.

Big Radius is the popular choice among Train owners, I had the chrome on mine until recently. My Train is surely a "Chick Magnet"...I can't keep my wife off it!

Enjoy & welcome!

which of these pipes would be loud...lound as in you can hear the exhaust pretty good while crusing. I think being able to hear it because it can tell you alot of information.. How fast you are going, without taken your eyes off the road. if you are lugging the motor, ect ect. I just don't want it to be deafing loud.

I have V&H Straight Shots on Reaper. You can hear what they sound like with the stock baffles HERE and with Big City Thunder Monsters HERE. They're not the exact pipes you asked about, but can give a bit of an idea of what V&H pipes sound like.

Cheers!

I originally had V&H Staggerd Duals on my bike then I put on some Big Radius pipes. I like the look of them and the sound but they are pretty quiet compared to most bikes.

They have a deep throaty sound but they are not loud. Go to any bike night and your bound to see and hear some Big Radius pipes in person.

Good luck!
