Default Good looking, comfortable solo seat for FXSTC

I'm 6'4, and need a lot more leg extension on my new Softail Custom.

Are there any solo seats that will give me some relief until I can afford to extend my foot controls next spring? Any other ideas are welcome as well. I have a 38" inseam.

Thanks in advance guys.

Retro King/Queen seat, about 300 bux at Harley will give you lot's more leg room.

Arlen Ness Forward control extension kit for about 160 off of the net.

G'day, Hardcaysen. I'm in the same boat as you... 6'4" and need to stretch my legs. I put a LePera bare bones on my FXSTC. Knees are still up around the top of the tank though. It's a good seat, but hard as hell. Still comfortable though, not sure if I'd want to do too many km's in a day with it. The retro king/queen looks like a better fit for a tall bloke than the stock seat.... but you're asking about solo's. I'm thinking about the retro for rides where I need my swag & bag.

I'll be going the forward control extensions as well. Should have got them when the Aussie dollar was around the 96 US cents mark. Think it's back to 88 cents now. Anyone got the Arlen Ness part number for the 08 FXSTC?

Im 6'4 also. Ive got Arlen Ness 3' inch forward controls and a C@C seat that puts you low and back in the saddle.

Hello there...

I am 6'2" and ride a softail standard, my legs cramp up when riding more than a few miles and I just ordered 2" extensions from www.chopperscycle.com They also have 3" extensions, they go for about 100$ (same price for 2" and 3") but with the 3" extensions you will need to replace the rear caliper brakeline, you can modify existing brakeline for the 2" they include other hardware you need to install the extensions. If you don´t find them there, you can check out www.cyclevisions.com they are the manufacurer of these extensions. I am still waiting for the order to reach Iceland, where I live so personal experience is not available at this time, but a friend of mine who also has height issues with his bike has them and is very pleased with them.

This is the cheapest extensions I´ve found online and according to seller and manufacturer are made of same material as other similar items

Hope this helps....take care all and Ride Hard and Safe

Finally got around to getting the Ness 3" extensions (07-611). Started with the easy side... no dramas. Removed the rear brake line (what a pain in the **** that was, with the line running tight in behind the exhaust valve actuator thingy). Started removing the RHS controls and chewed the guts out of one of the T45 bolts in behind the brake pedal! It's pissing me off, so now I'm relaxing with a beer and will tackle it later.
