Default Wobble on Night Train - Brace it??

On hard acceleration from a stop and highway speeds (70 or so), my Night Train front end tends to wobble on the least amount of input. It's an 06' and I have had it a few months. Front end is stock with mini apes for handlebars

Any ideas on how to stop the wobble effect?

Steering head and wheel balance come to mind as the first things to check!
Tire pressure and if the tire shows signs of cupping.

If you have mini apes, that is one of your issues. Your hands are further away from your triple tree, which is what causes this...especially on a windy day.

Another thing that helps is to make sure you have enough air in your front tire. Once I hit 70-75, I'm just a bit more cautious.

Don't listen to this clown! He doesn't know what he's talking about!

But he's right. You can actually get some wind buffeting with ape hangers. Your arms and body act like a wind sail. I would check steering head tightness and tire pressure like the other suggested.

when I had my street bob with the stock mini apes I would get a small wobble at 70 or above. once I changed to drag bars it went away. you may want to try a fork brace.

Yeah, I was thinking about the drag bars. That's what I liked about the NT in the first place. I was considering putting the wider bars from the Fat Bob on and see what happens.

HD just installed a new front tire and said they tightened the steering head last time I was in. I am going to check it myself. Thanks.

Don't have the wobble on my custom, but on a windy day it's all over the place. I've also found it's the mini apes causing this.

Odd thing is that my bike had a couple of different wobbles. One when I was going over 70 or so, the mini apes caused it and switching to lower bars helped get rid of that. The other kind happened only when I tried pushing it really hard through the twisties, a fork brace reduced it to nearly nothing.

If it's a spoked rim you might check it's trueness. Spokes can become loose over time.
