Default Shakinmg Headlight - FXSTC

I have an 07 FXSTC and the headlight seems to shake. I replacedd it with another (HD OEM) and it still shakes. I know how the mounting system works, that it is on rubber mounts, but is this shaking normal? Thanks

Ya my 07 fxstc does the same thing, plus makes rattling noise when hitting bumps in the road..I don't pay attention to it anymore..When I first picked up the bike it drove me nuts,,,"what the hell is that noise on a brand new bike",got home and started tapping on things with my hand until i hit the headlamp..BINGO..annoying..but oh well as long as nothing is or will fall off...lol...

Actually, I like it.

it helps make sure the cagers in front of you and coming at you have no trouble seeing that there is "something" near them.

Its just like giving them a little high beam flash. Polite, yet, says I'm here you mother F'er, don't even think about doing anything stupid.

Yup, it's the soft rubber mounts. I did have to cut part of the metal bracket off inside to stop the clunking . Thought about making it rigid but feel it acts like a safety feature as the flickering catches you eye. I will admit it is a real pain in the *** driving at night though.

It is annoying as hell to have one following you at night. What a poor design that was.
