Default Help Lowering Softail Heritage

What is the recommended or "best way" to lower a softail heritage for my wife.
#1. Do you always lower the front as well as the rear?
#2. Are the lowering studs as good as the lowering shocks?
#3. Harley parts Vs after market.

Thank you.

You don't have to lower the front, most people only lower the rear. I used the HD Profile low lowering shocks. They lower the rear about 1 inch which is all I wanted. I am actually getting ready to adjust the preload a bit. I got them from a forum member but you can find'em on ebay for pretty good prices. A lot of guys on here use progressive 422s as well but they are bit more expensive.
