Default 16" Apes

Hey guys, need a question answered for all of you that have done this to your Softail Custom. Finally took the plunge and got some 16" Apes from Cyclesmiths. Question I had for the guys that have done this already, is how much longer on the cables and and brake line, and wiring ext. for that matter? Oh and its an 07 Softail Custom with the factory mini apes on it now.

You may be able to just reroute everything and they may work. I put 12" apes with 4" risers on my stk wires on my standard and they worked fine

Just installed 14" Wild 1 Inc apes on my 07 Heritage with 1 1/2" risers. Went with +6 clutch, throttle and idle cables and routed them exactly like the factory and it turned out perfect. Also, ran wires through bars but instead of having two splices in each side, I removed the wires from each factory plug, cut the pin terminals off, soldered the wire extensions, installed new pin terminals and plugged it all back up. Probably more trouble than it was worth, but I'm somewhat retentive. Shad
