Default Chrome tinted amber signal bulbs installed

Before and after. Clear lens with amber bulb, then clear lens with chrome tinted bulb. Of course the chrome tinted bulb still lights up amber. Sorry no pic of tinted bulb lit up.

I definitely like the look of the clear lens and chrome tinted bulb.
Do you mind if I ask where you picked up the lens and bulbs?

I had those for a while from Custom Dynamics and I loved them but they just didn't illuminate bright enough for me.

I spent a lot of time searching the internet for what was available and ended up getting mine on e-bay. I'll put some links below. It's true they are not quite as bright, but I did see some (very expensive) made for cars that say they are very bright. I also saw chrome tinted red ones. There are also LED bulbs that fit stock sockets that are white but glow amber or red. Remember, on a stock bike, you need 1157 bulbs (dual element) in front and 1156 (single element) in the rear. I now have the bullet turn signal housings (like on a Deluxe) on my Heritage. I left the rear lenses red with red bulbs and bought clear front lenses (comes with amber bulbs) from Harley. Then, of course, swapped the amber bulbs with the chrome tinted.
Here's some links....

There are tons of other sites with chrome tinted bulbs. Try Sylvania also.

I ordered the bulbs from ebay for my 09 Rocker, I put the clear lenses on the front bullet signals and smoked out the chrome inside the housing. With the chrome bulbs it should look pretty good.

Nice look. I did that on my F-150 to get rid of the bug eye look. Never thought about doing it to my bike. Might look into it.

So I went down to the local auto parts store and bought Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. They don't look as good as the chrome bulbs, but they look better than the standard amber ones.

AMBER BULB

SILVERSTAR

REPLACED WITH NEW SILVERSTAR BULBS
