I never thought it would happen, but I got my wife to just get on the bike and ride. We got on the bike on friday with no plans, we got back today about 700 miles later. It was great. If we didn't have to be back, I think we would have put another 300 on it. I know its not a big deal to some, but it was an accomplishment for me to get the wife out that far. I think she is hooked now. Can't wait till the next one.

 

Good for you! A friend and I just put in 1550 miles over the past four days (650 of them yesterday riding from Milwaukee to Memphis, TN - 12 straight hours!). I'm on a softail custom and he's on a 2008 Rocker C !

 

i just never thought I would get her out on it for that long on the deluxe. I know I am a bit over excited. With the suspension that low, and not that much room for cloths and girlie stuff, I was excited. Maybe I can get her out longer next time!!!!!!

 

Yeah - ridin solo makes it a lot easier to put on the miles.

 

If I understand you right, you did that 2 up. Wow, my wife could barely last the 25 mile ride home from the dealer on the back of her Deluxe. Surely you have an upgraded px pillion on it. If not she must have some really hard tail

 

We have the bigger pillion and the wider back seat for her. I need to get her floor boards, but I'm not sure if I can put the ones I want on with the pipes I have.
She was a bit sore but she isn't complaining.

yep i did 500 today and another 550 2 days ago all solo. I have gone thru 3 girlfriends and still looking. that is a marriage requirement

We loved it. She got up the next day and helped me clean it up. We pulled a humming bird out of it.

She is talking like she wants to learn how to ride and get her own bike.

Cant wait to do it again.
