Triple Trees...
Hi there guys,,
I have a BIG issue with changing the trees from my 2005. night train.
I do love how they look but im also hearing some cons about having
more angle in the front end.
Many opinnions in my head but still noone who can telll me something wich i can use to make my choice..tha question is is it dangerous to use 5degree trees? or maybe i should use 3 degree ones?...I use my bike in the city and usually do short rides 100 miles (max)..
I would really really apreciate your help.
thank you.

You will change your ride. Most companys don't recommend raked trees unless your frame angle is 38 degrees or more. The raked trees basically help keep your rake & trail closer to stock. You will usually need to extend your fork tubes an inch or two to keep your frame sitting level. You can find raKe & trail calculators on line & put in your measurements & change them to check out what you need for your set up. I'm running a 5 degree triple tree on my rigid thats got a neck angle of 38 degrees with 2" over fork tubes & the frame sits level with a 16" on back & a 21" up front. My down tubes have a
2" stretch.
Check it all out before you buy.
