Default Crossbones solo seat on a Heritage?

I bolted a crossbones solo seat on my 06 FLST today. This is the way to go if you have long legs and want some more room. It gets you up in the air about 3" higher than the stock seat. I'm 6'3" and was always having trouble getting comfortable. This has solved the problem, rides like a completely different bike. I'm not sure what to do for a battery cover, the plastic cover for the crossbones doesn't fit very well so I Might have to fabricate a steel pan or maybe a heavy leather cover.

looks great....I just put a sprung seat on my street bob....I test rode a crossbones and loved the seating position....now my street bob feels about the same way. Im six foot one and had the same leg discomfort problem. problem solved! plus it looks great.

I'm planning on doing the heavy leather cover with the Kuryakyn chrome mid frame covers.

Project is on hold until Kury releases parts for the '08 frame.

I agree 100% about the ride with this seat.

I don't think it looks good at all. It doesn't fit, but it's your bike.

How about this one, does this one look ok to ya? . I guess you have to appreciate the vintage look . I have always liked the styling of the vintage Harley ridged frame bikes and the new seat nails it in my mind........
