Default rear tire for 07 nt

i am thinking of putting a metzler tire on the rear of the night train. size is 200/50/17 stock is 200/55/17 will this make a difference. also i am told not to mix tire brands on front and rear. i dont see where this would make a difference. somebody enlighten me if it does. thanks.

Looking at the Metzeler Tire Replacement Chart for 07 Night Train.
OE for the rear tire is: 200/55R17

Replacement tire for the rear is: 210/50ZR17 (78W) TL ME880

Mixing tire brands isn't so critical as mixing ply. Unsafe to mix Bias ply
with a Radial ply.

as SOFT06 stated, going with the Replacement tire for the rear is: 210/50ZR17 (78W) TL ME880, plus goes up from 200mm to 210mm..That model is what i have been told works with our 07 NT.

any others?

I have metzler on the front and dunlop on the rear only because the rear metzler lasted 50% less than dunlop. I have a metzler tire chart i can email you if you pm me with your email address.

You guys are 10,000 on a dunlop rear? Is that the stock one, because I only got 4700 out of mine.

yes it is stock and the air preasure is he key. The metzler may have worn a little faster because i drove harder in the turns because i can, but it is a softer tire

Avon makes one also, but I haven't heard how long they last. I have to replace both the front and rear and I'm thinking of going with the Avons.
