For the lady I love...
My best friend, my lover, my wife.
She rode quite a bit as a teen. When we met, I was a Service Manager for a Harley-Suzuki dealer and I had several bikes. I got her back into riding and would frequently get her to drive various bikes, including my trusty old '80 Suzuki GS1000GT.
She got out of it for a good while, then for our 25th anniversary, I put her back on. I got her a 105th XL1200L Sportster, enrolled her in the HD MSF class (she graduated at the top of the class, followed by aced the license test and driving tests).
Here's her first ride on the Sporty
First trip out into the Texas Hill country, she says the ride wasn't long enough and she wants to keep going. (this is something I will hear MANY times!)
The rides got longer and more enjoyable...
A year has passed. She's ridden my 'Glide a few times. A StreetBob, a Fat Boy, a Dyna Low Rider, a Deluxe and more. I've always felt she belonged on a Deluxe. Nothing but the best, for the best.
So...
I woke her up last Saturday and said "You know, I think we should hop on the scoots', ride up to Cowboy (local HD dealer) and get you a new Deluxe."
As she stood by the Sporty, remembering the miles and smiles... The future rumbled across the parking lot...
And now... my baby is riding in style!
Only the finest for this lady!
