200mm rear on my stock rim?
I'm not sure of the specs on my new (to me) bike yet, but can a 200mm rear tire like on the current night trains fit on my stock '03 rim?

Or does anyone know the sizes of stock rims on a '03 and then a '06?

Would a 200 fit 150? I don't think so, it is not just the rim, the swing arm is different too.

No not on your stock rim, your rim is 3.5" wide and the 200mm rim is 6" wide. The 2006 swingarm is the same width, the caliper mount has been shaved.

^^^^he is right you can probably get away with a 180 but not a 200. You need at least a 5.5" rim to fit a 200.

Maybe, but I think 160 is about the limit on that 3.5". You're gonna have trouble with the width of your stock fender on a 180.

Oh man that's a bummer, I didn't realize that much had to be changed over. So the fender is different on the '06's+ as well?

Yes its wider and uses different struts. Lots of stuff to change out to get that 200 in there. You can use a Deuce rear fender if you only wanna go to 180.

Well crap, I might just forget the idea on having a fat rear for a while. So you think the max I could go right now without a lot of changes is a 160?

Yes, check with your dealer they will know for sure. Easiest fix is to buy another 2006 Softail. Saw one the other day for $11,500. Always nice to have a back up!
