Default Arlen Ness or PM 6 piston calipers?

Looking for some nice chromed brake calipers, I found some really cool. Arlen Ness and Performance Machine. Both specified for my bike and all, direct bolt on replacements for OEM parts. One legend caught my attention in both calipers: "NOT TO BE USED WITH SPOKED WHEELS", any of you guys know the reason for this???

I don't know, but Dinger has PM calipers on both spoked wheels. I also have the PM calipers on both wheels. They rock. I greatly appreciate the ability of being able to stop as quick as I need to. Well worth it. Get the Lyndall pads for 'em too as the stock pads are messy and not nearly strong...

Thanks Andrew... I do recall Dinger sayin' something about PM calipers...

I wonder if too much brake prower may twist spokes in the long run... I know it sounds stupid, but is the only logical reason I can think about...

I have no idea. Until I can buy some spokes I won't know either...

I spend the extra hundred or so and get the 6 piston, but that's just me and it's easy to spend your money.

You might want to check out the Hawg Halters products, really high quality too.I have PM wheels, but choose the Hawg Halter calipers because I think they look a little cleaner without a logo stamped on them.No offense meant to the PM users, just my opinion

Happy with my PM calipers. Easy to rebuild and parts readily available too. All of PM's stuff is really good.

Dumb question here... Does every manufacturer uses different brake pads for their calipers??? (shape, specs, etc.)
