Default fender chopping

i want to chop the rear fender on my rocker. i have seen others on this forum that have done it. what is the best way to do it? tips, suggestions?

the only chopped fenders i've seen on the rocker are the ones from the Heartland kit. i would love to chop my rear fender too.

I was going to chop my Xbones fender but my buddy talked me out of it. The sweep of the fender isn't right for cutting it would look like sh*t. So I guess I'm going to have to buy a new fender that will fit and cut it. I did change out the brake light and plate for now.
