Try removing the baffle matting, and re install the baffle. Best of both worlds.
Louder, yet, maintaining back pressure.

Get some big city thundetmonsters and put them in your headpipes and you can take your baffles out and you will be fine. They restore your backpressure. Got over 12k on an 07 with that setup and it runs great. Sure is loud though.

what is a h-d screaming eagle rush? Are those SE or Rush? Rush are easy to select baffles. SE are not removable.

really i just removed mine and contemplating drilling and loosing some wading..2 tamper proof torqs bolts on each and used a long screw driver and hammer to knock them out took 10 minutes tops..
well there is 18 -5/16" dia holes in each screaming eagle muffler and a considerable amount of wading, glass and a metal screen which after only 700 miles is showing signs of burning up and blowing out which would leave a screen loose rattling around in there..
ive drilled 18 more holes 5/16" dia inline with the rest with the same spacing, and im not istalling the wading ,glass, and screen..will post back on how it sounds and performs tomorrow..

Why not just get something you like and sell those here or on Ebay. If you jack them up with holes and such and still don't like them they won't be worth squat.

I was going to put the SEs on my wife's Deluxe but the HD dealer talked me into going with Rush.......said the SEs were barely louder than stock. The 1.75s sound great on her bike and you can swap out to larger baffles if you want more noise.

Do what Jimmers says, sell your stock mufflers on e-bay and get some slip-ons. drilled stock mufflers sound like s***.

screamin eagle and rush are two totally different companies, completely unaffiliated. if you have rush mufflers just get their baffles in a bigger size!
