Vance & Hines true duals from Eastern Performance for around $500 here. Just added the fishtail end caps for another $120 this winter. Love the look, sound good, and can't tell the difference in performance. The fishtails really set them off. Glad I finally decided to get them.

I just took the V&H true duals off my 07 heritage this spring.

Loved the sound and looks for sure..beautiful pipes but.....the frickin heat from the LH pipe where it comes over the primary is a killer.
Especially if in stop and go traffic, I had a fuel manager on also.

If I was too do it again though it would be the v&H also...you lose torque with these pipes and torque...is what counts!

I've seen a couple brands but would be interested in knowing more about who makes complete sets (head pipes and mufflers, etc.) and any thoughts on which are the best and price points. If anyone is willing to share their thoughts, I'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the true duals usually win because of looks and sound.

As for true duals, I think if you use slip-ons like the SuperTraps that have vertical baffles, will create and keep back-pressure so you don;t loose the ponies and torque.

I'm with you, 2:1's. got my heart set on the Roadhouse... and can;t get out of my head with RB racing LSR 2:1 either.....

I am sure many that have true duals will have a coment.
Sure, you'll loose torque compared to an aftermarket 2-into-1 pipe, or a 2-into-2 with a crossover. But the stock Heritage pipes are already 2-into-2 without a crossover. Just like true duals. So he wouldn't be losing any performace compared to the stock pipes. But he wouldn't get as much performace as you would with a 2-into-1.

If and when the funds become available, I'm putting Bassani's on mine. With the engine mods I have, I think I can stand to lose a few horses and a few lbs of torque. I think these look and sound awesome.

On a stock Heritage Softail Classic??? Where is there a crossover from one pipe to the other? The old Evos had one, but not the new Twinkies. Or are you thinking of the Springer Classic? That has duals with a crossover.
