Default putting true duals on Heritage classic

I love the look and sound of the true duals with either the fishtails or tapered tips. I have a basically stock 2003 FLSTCI. I have the bag guard bars on. I plan to add passenger floorboards as well.

I've seen a couple brands but would be interested in knowing more about who makes complete sets (head pipes and mufflers, etc.) and any thoughts on which are the best and price points. If anyone is willing to share their thoughts, I'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks.

I've been looking at these myself for my new Heritage....V&H makes a set for around $700 and Rhinehart makes a set for upwards of $950

Samson makes several complete sets to include about 3 or 4 different length fishtails as well as a few straight pipe lengths.

I have the samson true duels with 33" fishtails and love them. Many others on here have samson and love em too. Youll also hear some who dont like samson but for me they have been great.

I chose the Vance & Hines true dual w/ fishtails. Love the sound. Excellent fitment and craftsmanship. Be sure to add the fuel pack and a re-map when you do the switch to the true duals.

I have samson's as I wanted straight pipes. Simple isntall but it takes a little longer than a 2 into 1 to install.

also check out Basssani: true dual power curve headers: http://www.bassani.com/part/SFT-211

although they say can only be used with Bassani mufflers, as long as the mufflers are 1 3/4", that will work. Also need muffler brackets. I'm seriously thinking using with Bub 7 mufflers. Kind of pricey though.

DONT DO IT. unless you have an engine modified stage 2 or 3 the loss of TQ and the way the bike runs is not as good as 2 into 1 or 2 into 2 with crossover. Maybe the new style from the touring bikes will come out for the softail. I have hooker true duals and as soon as i get the funds i am going to 2 into 1. I am sure many that have true duals will have a coment.

there is V&H, Samson, and a few (very few) others that offer true duals for softails.

I have the V&H true duals and love them. they look and sound great and cause absolutely no problem mounting passenger floorboards and saddlebag guards.

I believe Samson cause no mounting problems either, not sure about others but doubt they do either
