The concept seems good to me, but I'm wondering how good they really work in the real world. Any feedback would be most appreciated.

Has one on my FLHT and works great although is in black instead of chrome .. which shouldn't make any difference .. Have heard of a lot of them failing but guess I am lucky .. No problems and it measures and records the Temp quite well ..

Friend of mine had one but apparently someone else needed it more than he did.

Ouch! I never thought about how easy it would be to steal.
Officially scratched off my wishlist. Not worth the risk.

Okay... you guys convinced me. I'll be staying with my analog version. I definitely don't like the idea that someone could walk up and steal the thing in 2 seconds. On the bright side, you guys just saved me $139.95.

Don't get the digital oil guage. If you get one get the needle guage for $30.00, from Harly
