Softail Custom running rough
I was riding my 08 Softail Custom yesterday and it was 106 outside. I was riding home from work and stopped at the bank and then headed home.
When I got home and pulled into the driveway, the bike was idling as I was waiting for the the garage door to open and I noticed the engine sound changed to a noticeably quieter tone and the engine started missing. I pulled the bike into the garage and shut it off.
I know the touring models have the rear cylinder cut out at high temps, but didn't think mine had it.
Could it be that or could it have just been getting hot.
I have had the stage 1 download done from the dealer a year or so ago and have added the hi flow intake and have the screaming eagle California slash cuts. The bike has run fine ever since that was done.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies.
I just called the dealer who did my download and they said that that bike did not come with the rear cylinder cut out and it would have been a separate download to make it do that and if my bike did exactly what I explained, then I must have had that downloaded to the bike when they did the stage 1 download and it did exactly as it was supposed to and should be fine.
I could have it removed like you said, but I don't plan on riding it much when it is that hot out and haven't had that problem before, so it should be fine.
I will keep riding it and see if I notice any differences or problems.
The bike runs great as it is and I haven't had any power related problems with it.
Thanks again. Ride Safe.
