Default 18 x 4.25 Wheels need Tire Size

I have a 2004 Fatboy and recently bought 18" PM wheels. The rear wheel is 18 x 4.25. Not sure what tire size to go with without it rubbing. Please provide me with feedback. thanks

Agreed, you can do a 160/18. My buddy has a 160/18 on his fatboy and it is extremely close to his fender on the left side. It may rub every once in a while ti is so close, but he has never experienced issues as a result.

150 will leave an extra 10mm of space. I think brand of tire might also affect this. IMO Metzelers are the "narrowest" as they are more rounded although the same width.

Runnin a 160-18 Dunlop Roadsmart on 4.25 pm wheel. Had to shorten the ez bracket bolts - not a big deal. 18 radial rear tire feels better on the road - no tube worries either - you will like it.

Dunlops are a little wider then the metzelers... Chaz (rip) said he ran a 160/60/18 ME880 and had no troubles... Does anyone know if Avons are wider or more narrow then a Metzeler? When it comes to 160's

I was thinking the same thing, but I think if I go 150 with a 18" I'll have to go up a series from a 60 to a 70 series?

Dunlop Roadsmart 160-18 is 60 series and a radial.
