Default Need Some Help Pleeeez

installed a set of handlebars on my 09 fatty, now my brake light is staying on. Dont know what problem is, maybe a switch gone bad. Any input will be appreciated.

If you didn't shim the front brake lever before removing the control housing, you more than likely broke the switch.

Actually you probably didn't break the switch itself, but the little plunger part of it that contacts the lever.
Unfortunately there is no way to fix it except by getting a new switch (PN=71590-96A) and maybe the flat copper clip that holds it in place, (PN=71509-00).

Yes the switch has been jerryrigged by adding a shim to the lever after the plunger broke.
Some have posted they've added a shim. I think Drew is one that has posted he's shimmed it.
Since the plunger is part of the switch, my comment about the broken switch.

I'm waiting for my new apes and grips to come in from Drew.. can someone explain this whole shimming thing to me? I can't visualize it.. I don't want to break mine when I go to install...
