Default front sprocket change and belt--nightrain

Im getting ready to install a open primary on my 05 nightrain. I want to go ahead and replace my final drive belt as well my front sprocket. I see they make a lightweight trans sprocket as well of lower and higher teeth ratio (30,31,32,33 and so forth) my bike is a in town bike (30-50mph zone). I was considering dropping the front sprocket 1 tooth (32 is stock right??) but was wondering if I need a smaller tooth final drive belt? I dont know if the belt would max out before it reached its tension? any body changed the front pulley to a smaller tooth for acceleration??

Not having done this to mine but have read that if drop 1 tooth you can use the stock belt if you go 2 teeth then you should get a 1 tooth smaller belt.
