They made Heritage springers for several years...so it is a bolt-on for an FL springer like x-bones...on a FX or aftermarket springer you would have to fabricate a little but it wouldn't be too tough.
That is one beautiful springer you got there Tom84.... Switching the front fender is a great idea and with the right tool and know how I'm sure it could be done, but the springer front fender is iconic and makes the bike stand out like no other. If you want a bike with a heritage style fender how bout we just trade bikes....lol.
I can't speak to how a fender mounts on your lowrider, but a Heritage fender could not be mounted on my Heritage Springer forks without some support at the axle. And why would you want to? A Heritage Springer fender fits and looks just right.

All kinds of monkey motion going on with a Springer fender. Looks like it would be a mess trying to get a heritage fender to work. Just check out the fender struts to axle.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Benway is right. Mounting a big Springer fender is not a simple bolt on proposition. Where an FL fender is just two bolts on each side and your done. They make narrower than stock FL fenders that just bolt right on a Springer, or I could slightly modify a stock Springer fender. Believe me, I have no issues with the look or style of the Classic Springer fender by any means, but just from the initial investigatory first step, I think an FL style fender might just be a whole lot easier to bolt on my aftermarket forks. But asking you guys is where the ideas and inspiration comes from.
Thanks again!
