fuel gauge install

can a fuel gauge be installed in a 98 fatboy?

Evo softails did not have a fuel gauge.. Came out with the twin cam in 2000

EVO's fuel gauge is the trip odometer/odometer or reserve on the petcock.

No can do. Evo Softails had the split gas tank. As Kowan said, tripmeter or reserve. I still use the trip on my 05 FXSTS and 04 FLHT. Don't trust the gauge.
