Hi,
I've got a 1990 Fatboy with no fuel gauge and a faulty trip meter, the trip is going to be fixed soon but I would like a fuel gauge also.
Is there a mechanical fuel gauge out there somewhere I can fit to the tank, the type I've seen on some old bikes have a float mounted on a twisted spindle, as the float rises it turns the spindle on top of which is the needle.
If these are not available is there a kit to fit a electronic gauge (sender, loom etc) to a 1990 Fatboy.
I'm in the UK but getting one form the US is no problem if needed.
I've never had a fuel gauge on a carbed bike. Just run it until it runs out and switch the petcock over to reserve. Always used the trip to figure out the MPG's.
