Default Gaskets for Rush full system exhaust?

My new Rush full system Crossover exhaust should be here tomorrow for my 2012 FatBoy. Rush says they normally recommend "stock" gaskets.

I'm seeing two types of gaskets......the flat 65324-83A (aka 17048-98), and the tapered 65324-83B gaskets. Which ones?

Thanks,
David

Anybody?

Are the tapered gaskets the best way to go for my Rush exhaust on a 2012 Fatboy? Or should I go with the flat SE kind?

With the Rush crossover system use the tapered gaskets. I tried the SE flat and the seal was no good. Tapered gaskets will work great.

Be sure to follow all the directions. As if you tighten the wrong parts first you will not get a good seal at your gaskets.

Cool...thanks for the answer. Pipes should arrive this afternoon and I'm heading to HD to pick up some gaskets now.

Thanks,
David

Your going to love the sound of the pipes. Did you get the 1.5 or 1.75 baffles? I have the 1.75 and they bark pretty good when you give her some gas.

They come with the 1.75 baffles so it should be good. I've got Rush slip-ons with 1.75 now and I've been told the full system is a bit louder. Hopefully not too much louder. Were you able to tell any temp difference in them?

I bought my bike in the dead of winter and had changed my pipes right away. So I really can't call that one. Now in summer at a long light any pipe is going feel hot.

I changed my pipes (Rush Crossover), installed a SE Stage 1 air cleaner, and had my bike tuned with the SERT and there is a big differance in felt heat.
