Foot feels clunk through highway peg
When I am driving at higher speeds (approx. 65+ mph) and I have my feet on the highway pegs I can feel an intermittent clunk on my foot from the peg which I assume is being transmitted from the frame. I don't hear any unusual noises from anywhere, just feel the clunk on my foot. If I have my feet on the footboards I don't feel anything. I have extremely limited mechanical skills and knowledge. Does anyone have an idea what might cause this or if it is something to worry about?
It is a 2000 Heritage with a brand new remanufactured TC88B engine. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Yeah, you are getting a completely different feel for the road with your Hiway pegs verses the floorboards. I have to say I have never noticed any consistent clunk when I use my pegs but i definitely get a different "feel" from the road.
I wouldn't worry about it if you don't hear it or feel it when your feet are off the pegs.

When I put my foot on the engine guard I can feel that clunk sometimes
It's the compensator in the primary. I feel it when I close or open the throttle in a more - shall I say - brusque way.
You don't feel it when your feet are on the footboards because the rubber is attached in such a way as to insulate you from the vibrations and clunks.
