Default Relocate turn signals on FXSTC

I would like to relocate my front turn signals on my 07 Custom. I know there are people on the forum who have done it. Can someone tell me if there is a kit available for this? Do I use the same housings with a different mounting bracket? I can handle the wiring, just not sure how to go about this minor improvement. Any help is appreciated. Please post pix. Thanks

There is two ways to do it, you can use the HD relocators like I did.
All you need are the brackets, a couple of stainless steel or chrome washers and acorn nuts and the tools.
Looks like this when your done.

The other type is a pair ofclamps that fitaround the tubes andput the signal itself a little closer in to the tube. Theyclamparound the tube so you can move them up or down where you like.
The ones I have fit under the lower tripple tree pinch bolt. So they are "fixed" in position. But I like having them a bit farther apart so oncoming traffic can see me a little better, I hope.

The washers and acorn nuts are used to put on the bottom of the mirrors where the signals used to be. Looks a bit better than just any old nut you have laying around that fits. Because the threaded part of the mirror is a bit too long for acorn nuts you need the extra washer to take up some room. Sorry the pic is a bit crappy, but the light was a bit dim when I took it.

Have fun [sm=bling.gif]

I can't be absolutly sure but I think theacorn nuts "may" come with the HD relocation kit.
UnfortunatlyI still neededextra washers to get them to tighten upproperly.

I thought they did, but they were too short if I recall. I had to use washers, too. Ultimately, I went to the dealership and bought taller ones.

I did my own relocation by replacing the bolt at the top of the forks with a stud , bush and screwed the indicator in to it. A little fiddly but worth the effort. It tucks in nicely also.

regards

Mick

That's a nice setup, do you have a pic of it from the top?
And not to change the subject, but who's handle bars are those? I'm looking for a new set for my Custom.

Thanks. The new location matches the new headlight nicely.

I will get some pics this weekend and post them. I have been so busy with the mods and work that I have hardly photographed the bike.

As far as the bars go they are the 6" rise Ultima bars with torpedo grips and chrome controls/ levers. They feel prettygood to ride with. My brother is making a set of 8" rise bars pretty much in the same design for his 07 fxstc. THey should be off to the chromers in a week or so.

cheers

Mick

just a point on the 6" bars- you will need to drill ant tap a couple of holes and insert some bolts for endstops as the bars will hit the dash/ tank. The 8" bars clear this as long as you relocate indicators which is where all this started.

cheers

Mick

Picking up relocation kit tomorrow. I'm taking the easy way out. I also am picking up the amber lense with visor kit. The stock yellow lenses stick out like a sore thumb. Thanks for the help and pix!
