Default clutch control lever swap out

I'm installing new levers and finished with the brakes lever, easy enough. Now with the clutch control lever, according to the manual it states I have to drain the tranny fluid? Is this right. Was thinking it would be an easy swap out??

If all you're doing is the lever, just relieve the cable at the adjuster and take the pin out at the perch. No need to drain the trans unless you're replacing the cable.

dafuq? for the lever only? No.. if you're replacing the entire cable you need to, because the cable ends in the clutch housing cover on the transmission. Just skip to the part where you loosen up your clutch cable (those lock-nuts and stuff in that rubber cover on the cable about a foot and a half below the lever...), then remove the mirror and do all that stuff that holds the lever in and swap them out.. it's easier than the brake lever
