Hey i fitted this kit and together with talboy saddle i can no longer complain. Reach is perfect for legs but need to get rid of the elbow type air cleaner as it compromises leg reach to brake. Also bars and risers will need to come back. Question though. The rubber on the jiffy no longer connects with the primary and it is now metal to metal. Jiffy against primary. Looks like there will be a need for a bit of rubber to be taped on but non too attractive. Anyone had a similar issue and how to resolve?

I had the Ness 3" ext. on my Breakout but I went back to stock, at 5'10" the stock is a little more comfortable for me but my main reason for switching back was looks. I don't like the brake lever and reservoir sticking out past the frame, if I were taller I'm sure comfort would out way looks and they would have stayed on.

You do know that there is another kit available for your bike. It's a 2" forward extension kit made by Cycle Vision CV-300. It's extensions only, not brake line for about $107. That might fit a bit better for you.

I ended up reinstalling the Ness extensions and have come to like the position they put me in....but I still think the bike looks better without them.

I think the bikes look better without the extensions but the ride is a lot better. They do stick out forward a lot.

I have the 3" and put a chin spoiler on to fill the gap. Looks great!

You can also make the HD chin spoiler for non-ABS models fit an ABS-equipped BO. User Nostradamus74 has done so although the HD item description says it won't fit.
