MS Bullet or Batwing on Freight train nacelle?
Hi Folks,
I am getting a lot of conflicting info on this. Perhaps my google-fu is not so good, so I will try a post. I have a 2011 Fatboy Lo and I need to add some wind protection for long rides. There are two options I am looking at. My first choice, I think, is the Memphis Shades Bullet windshield, the other option would be some form of batwing fairing. I need to have a quick release setup.
However, I have swapped out my stock Fatboy headlight assembly for the Freight Train nacelle and I am having a lot of trouble finding out if it will work with either of my options. Memphis Shades lady would only say that they have never tested their product with a Freight Train nacelle.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've got the Memphis shades bullet for my fatboy. I have the French trim ring which I suspect is much thinner than the freight train setup. And even with that, it was too tight to fit on properly. But it has a bendier, thinner section that goes around the headlight that is glued onto the main screen. Without that, it will probably be fine as i have around 1/4" gap without it. But don't rip it off! The black on the screen is just painted on and scratched easily. It will rip off too. Instead, I used a Dremel to cut the surround part back to the main screen to get the same appearance. Hope that helps!

a) Can it come off pretty quick when I get to the destination?
b) How effective is it at reducing fatigue?
c) Any issues with head buffetting?
Peg20- The weird thing is that there is a model for the Roadking, which has an almost identical nacelle, though the mounting points are a little off from the Freight Train used for the Fatboy. I wonder if the Roadking model Bullet would work with the Fatboy mounts?

Thanks, though I am looking for a pretty specific look, not so much into the big sheet of lexan in front of my bars. Thats why I've really been leaning towards the Bullet, if I could find out if it fits...
