Next Mod- Fat Spoke 21" or Shotgun Shock
So Im thinking about my next mod on Ol Fatty and am debating either a set of 21/18"
(or 16") Fat Spoke Wheels with White Walls or a Shotgun Shock set up. Bike currently is dropped with a decent ride but I really like the look, function, and cool factor of the Air Ride. Wheels would also drastically change the look of the bike. Current wheels are stock with Chrome covers and new Shinko White Walls. Both mods are evenly priced and I am trying to see what ya'lls input is. Thanks!

This has been hashed out a few times that I can recall - Shotgun vs. new wheels. I'll distill those threads down quickly by saying this - "Do you want the comfort and adjustability that the Shotguns provide, or do you want to change the look?"... Most of the time, people were running stock, plain wheels.
For what my opinion is worth, your bike looks sick with those chrome wheels along with all of the rest of the chrome and bright white you've got going on. Still, I get wanting to change the look around.
If you're already running the bike lowered, it's probably going to be about the same look most of the time with the Shotguns, unless you dump the air for looks. Most of what I've been hearing from others who have 'em are riding a little lowered - 1/2 to 1 inch. My pair usually are lowered about that much. The ride on the shocks is sweet, though, once you learn how to dial that sucker in.

I said before I always get a kick out of guys who scoff at the idea of spending $1200 on a SS "just to look cool" (never mind that they're missing the point about air ride), but sometimes they're the same guys who think nothing of dropping more than that on a set of wheels ... just to look cool.

I think the OPs looks looks great as it is. If it were me, I would get the Shotgun to be able to ride in comfort.... AND slam it if he wants.
