Default The Florida air and Motorcycles

Hey everyone. I've searched the forum and can't seem to find a good, clear answer.

I'm moving to Florida(Melbourne area, near the coast) and I won't have a garage, just a cover in a parking lot.

There is no rust or any blemishes on my bike(14 Iron 883 Matte Black), but it still worries me to see how condensation can sit on the bike under the cover even up here in Missouri when it rains.

Will it hurt to keep the cover I have(not vented) and let salty condensation sit even a little bit? Do I need to buy a new vented cover? If so, can someone point me to a link? If I could afford it, I'd buy one of those tiny garage looking things, but that's out of the question.

My brother told me horror stories of what the ocean air did to his bike when he lived down there, then again he had a rusted up Yamaha and of course it was bad...

Thanks guys.
