"I am calling all bikers in the Bayou Vista and surrounding areas for their help. On Sunday Nov.4th We at Milburns Custom Painting lost Don Tipton our airbrush artist and member of our family. He was killed by someone whom was driving reckless and speeding and he was struck and died later that day. We will be having a Memorial Service on Saturday Nov.10th at 2:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home on Texas Avenue ( that's highway 1765 just off 146 )

there on the road. All this person recieved was a citation. We have the media(channel 39,13,2) coming and Galveston Daily News. We need your help to make a stand and to let them know we are out there. Please help us to make change it could be you or your brother,sister,dad,mom. Come and lets make a stand"

 

I spoke with Mike at Milburn's this moring and learned that Don was a Vietnam era Navy veteran. I notified a Ride Captain in the SE region for the Patriot Guard Riders. I'm hoping that with all the Veteran's Day activities, we can have a good PGR showing as well.

 

Will see ya'll there,hope this make a difference.At least they will get the message.Didn't know Don,but have known Raymond (Mikes dad) for years.Don will surely be missed at Milburns.

 

Don will be missed by everone that ever met him.I sent a video to TEXASULTRA maybe he can post it for me.Don lost his wife five months ago after a long battle with cancer.Don had been in pain for sometime and would go to the VA hospital ,and they said they couldn't find anything .Well during the autopsy at UTMB it was discovered he to had cancer.Rest in peace Don Tipton.It was said that when you see those colorful sunsets it's Don carrying on his talent.He now is painting for The Great One.

I've seen 4 sunsets now since the memorial service. They've looked extra vivid, colorful, and somewhat personel. Great work Don, I want to say rest in peace but, I think he's working on the sunsets.
