Default New 2015 Iron 883

Hello Sportster people.

I've been lurking this side of the forum for a few weeks. Today I picked up my new 2015 883 Iron.

I was over on the Dyna section for a couple years until I sold my Dyna and moved overseas for a while. I bought a BMW GS for the roads of SE Asia. It's a great bike and I'm keeping it, but, now that I'm back, I wanted a project; so I picked up the Sporty for a cafe build.

I have a lot of stuff coming my way:
-RYCA Motors Cafe Kit
---Pipe
---Clubman bars
---15" Shocks
---Tail section and seat
---Fairing
---Rearsets

-Figure Machine 4" K&N filtered intake
-Powervision tuner
-Touch-up paint for the fairing and tail section

In a year or so I plan to pump the motor up, but I want a good handling bike first.

I'll post a build thread once you parts arrive and I start tearing it down.

Here is the inspiration.

Hey SLV!

Good to see you in the Sporty section. I like what you did with your Dyna, & am looking forward to your Sporty build.

Default looks good

I like the idea. a nice 1200 in the 90's range would make a great mover...and am assuming will handle very well.

Yet another awesome build to come from a person with a great vision. It's great to see your back, your gonna love the Sportster, the real question is will you love it more than you'll miss the Dyna?

Man. I just ordered a bunch of stuff while I have the cash.

Once I get started, I'll start a thread just for the conversion. I wouldn't call it a build because almost everything is bolt-on with a few trims and frame-rail cuts.

Rsd makes some nice relocated controls to move them back for a more aggressive ride
