88" Sportster S makeover allllmost done.
Been a while on this project. Went a lot further than I expected. Started with a total abortion of a bike, po was going for some kind of a "bobber" look I guess. I dunno, it was a mess. I tore it down to the frame and started over. List of replaced parts goes like this.
Tank, both fenders
Bars, risers, grips, cables and lines
Wheels, tires, brakes
Forks rebuilt, fork brace
New tail and headlight, plate mount
Air cleaner, pipe, pegs, shifter arm, primary adjuster
All fluids, plugs, seals that I could see seeping or leaking.
Battery, petcock, fuel and oil lines.
Motor is a well built Axtell 88" with the factory 4 plug heads, balanced bottom end, windage tray, oil squirters, forged pistons and iron cylinders. Crane dual coil ignition, RB Racing LSR pipe and some CV goodies to make it all work. Waiting on a seat before I can flog it though. Tins are powder coated gloss white. Pipe is hi-temp BBQ paint. Usually don't post em before they're done but I'm pretty stoked on how its turning out.
