Out with the new, in with the old.
883R is gone. Traded for this creampuff. 97 1200S. 9900 mi and been sitting for 6 yrs. Flushed for fuel out, went through the carb and fired first hit of the button. Has about everything I hate on a bike, especially on a Sportster. Huge seat, drag pipes...with heat wrap.., forward controls. But the core is there. The adjustable suspension is in perfect shape and the motor is strong. Single plug head model which isn't as nice as the dual plugged but whatever. I kept all the mods from the 883 ( pipe, intake, bars, risers, pegs, grips) which are in the process of being swapped over now. Gonna try to retrofit the rubber mount Bassani I have onto this rigid mount. Looks simply like a rear bracket fan and it'll be golden. If not it'll be for sale or trade. Big sucker too if it doesn't fit.
