I painted my fork sliders with hammer finish paint in black. The sliders look almost like cast iron (kind of like a brand new skillet). With your polished triple trees, I'd leave them alone. My lower tree is factory wrinkle black (and a crappy job) and I've wanted to paint it someday, just not sure to match sliders or the frame.

That looks real good man. Awesome job. I still think the appliance black is what I am going with.

I thought about the flat black and considered it, but I like the gloss black shine better. I think it compliments the chrome better.

Anybody have any INSIGHT as to whether this appliance epoxy pain would work to do my cast wheels?

If I were to apply this appliance paint to the cast wheels - would I run the risk of it getting stripped off when they change the tire? I am thinking I want to do the paint before I get the new tires installed so there's no chance of getting paint on the new tires...

thoughts?

That paint is strong enough for the everyday ride and it will last. But it will scratch when you get the tires replaced. unless you do the swap yourself with tire irons and are extremely careful. or you can use plasti dip on your wheels and just take it off the tires when your done. They have a glossifier too now to give you a gloss look.

If you're gonna polish the ribs on the wheels' spokes, simply polish the outer lip of the wheels, too. If the tire guy screws up, there won't be any paint there to repair.

Nice.
Looking forward to the next follow-up and hearing how you do with polishing the wheels' ribs.
