08 tank on a 13

Hoping you guys could help me, I have a 2013 Sportster 48 and have a lead on a tank for an awesome price, guys at the shop said only 2010 and newer tanks will fit for me. It's a tank off a 2008 Nightster, the 3.3 gallon one. Thanks!

It fits... you will need part no. 27067-07A - VENTLINE, TANK-TO-VALVE, W/ REF # 7 as well. This is the vent line. Different length from the one in the 48 tank.
