yeah I gave him the colors and lots of flake, that's it, he's getting creative with everything else. His other work is pretty impressive for this area, lots of crappy painters around here asking waaaaay too much money so this is a nice change

Got a sneak peek at the frame again, not much else but here it is before flake




welds are all smoothed out can't even see the rosette welds where the neck meets the down tubes

figures... as soon as I finish posting he sends me more photos. Here's a couple of the red after the flake coat went on. Can't really tell what part it is

I am really digging the frame color? Is it a satin finish or is it just the picture?

base coat it's going to be clear coated when he's done

Parts should be back from paint this week, been doing lots of polishing and removing casting marks from the cases and inner primary and the starter.

Got a couple more photos from the painter, not reall happy with the Swing arm being gold but we'll wait and see how it looks put together. Also wishing I had smoothed out the swing arm welds, didn't even think about it during tear down.

Got to have pretty good nerves, even though you can't beat the price, I would be pretty anxious about having somebody paint my Harley, without a lot of input.

Wish I had the knowlege to tear one down like that....can't wait to see the finished project.
