Default Please read my spark plugs. Pictures.

I decided to pull my spark plugs today to see how the motor is running. Below are pictures of the front and rear spark plugs. These plugs indicate that my motor is running fine right? I figured i'd get a second opinion.

rear cylinder

front cylinder

Might be slightly lean. But they run lean from the factory.

first you need to tell about your bike... year and fuel injected or carb and any motor add ons (exhaust, a/c etc.)...from looking at your plugs all I can tell is that you have taken probably taken a short trip before you pulled them...

Agree and looks like left idling for long period. Knowing if carb or fuel injected will help in reading.

My apologies. I should've know better to mention that. It's a 2015 883 with a full stage 1. Vance and Hines short shots and Arlen ness inverted series intake.

Looks lean to me which it should be with a stage one and no fuel management.

I would say you are in the mid range. If it was lean on a FI model you would have an ash white to a light tan on the Ground Electrode. From what I see on my PC screen yours look dark grey with a hint of tan on the base of the ground electrode for the front cylinder.

Now the looks may be misleading because they look like fresh plugs but they also have plenty of black soot deposit around the base of the threads. Did you have it running on idle for awhile? Did you give it a good run, shut it down and then pulled the plugs to read them?

On my screen the electrode is pure white, no tan at all.

Are you talking about the Ground Electrode or the Central Electrode? If you are referring to the Central Electrode, yes that is white on mine also.
