Mids - Better control, vertically challenged.

Update: I will be installing highway pegs where the forwards go so I can stretch out on longer rides....it is the perfect cruising position for me....best of both worlds. Thanks to RKZen for sharing....I love this forum lol.

I had mids. Changed to forwards. Cause I'm tall and it was more comfortable. Still have the control

Mids, better balance, bike feels more nimble, and it takes the pressure off my lower back, which doesn't tolerate strain much at all anymore. Nice to have highway pegs, though. I put mids on my 883, like it way better that way. It always seemed to want to swing wide on turns if I didn't force it with forwards, but tracks beautifully with mids; wouldn't think that would make such a difference. I still have forwards on my 1200, but have all the parts for mids except one peg bracket. I may have to give up on second hand and get a new one, despite a reluctance to part with my dollars and dimes. It doesn't try to swing wide, by the way, but it's rubber mount, the other old solid motor mount, different frames.

Hate mids.... Had 'em on my FXR. Couldn't wait to get forwards on it. Was really glad the 48 has forwards.

But, what I really like is floorboards with forwards!

I have mids for the reasons already mentioned. I do have hwy pegs where the forwards go. Nice to change leg positions on the longer rides.

Forwards with Kuryakan Mini floorboards. Three position fore and aft. When using engine guard foot rest, you can rest your heels comfortably on the floorboards .
